The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) conducted the fourth orbit-raising manoeuvre (earth-bound perigee firing) of the Chandrayaan-3 project on Thursday.
According to ISRO, Chandrayaan-3 has reached its planned orbit of 71351 km x 233 km.
The Launch Vehicle Mark-3 (LVM-3) successfully launched Chandrayaan-3 from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre's second launch pad in Sriharikota at 2.35 p.m. on July 14 and placed it in an elliptic parking orbit of 36,500 km x 170 km.
The first four orbit-raising manoeuvres have already been accomplished, and the next firing is scheduled for July 25 between 2 and 3 p.m. IST.
